Meet the Owner
Capitol Nannies, LLC is managed by owner Dawn Hong. Dawn is originally from the Kanawha Valley, and relocated to Washington D.C. to pursue a career as a professional nanny. With more than 13 years of experience as a nanny, and also receiving her B.A. in Elementary Education, she was offered the opportunity to work for a premiere nanny placement agency in Washington, D.C. She has gained more than 7 years of recruiting experience. Becoming a mother and returning home, prompted Dawn to open a nanny placement agency in the Charleston area. She has the advantage of her nanny experience coupled with understanding the needs and concerns of parents. Her experience is what allows her to make the thoughtful matching of the parents' needs with the nanny's needs and level of experience. Dawn is passionate about providing quality childcare.
Our goal is to bring balance back to working families, by making it easier for parents to work and be successful because they no longer have to worry about who is caring for their children. We want families to feel confident that the person in their home is a part of their team. We are also here for our caregivers. We want them to develop a sense of professionalism that will enable them to become "career" nannies. Capitol Nannies, LLC is not about making placements; we are about creating relationships.
Dawn is married with 2 beautiful children. Her family resides in Putnam county.
Our Staff
Our office is staffed with professionals who are experienced in the childcare industry and available to answer questions and assist clients with filling their assignments. Each Capitol Nannies employee has a genuine love for children, this is to ensure that our clients have the BEST nanny in their home caring for their children. We have no nannies in our pool that our staff and owners would not leave their own children with. Our staff is trained to listen to the clients needs and match that with nannies that we have in our pool. We have resources available to recruit specifically for any position. Our permanent & temporary consultants are available from 9am-4pm Monday through Friday, and our on-call temporary consultants are available Monday through Friday from 4pm-9pm and Saturday from 9am-12pm.
